Teacher Training

We recognize the important role that teachers play in preparing students to become critical thinkers and responsible citizens. The shortage of qualified and adequately trained teachers is a challenge faced by many communities, but particularly challenging for rural areas in developing countries. We work to enhance the quality of teaching instruction, performance and effectiveness by providing educational tools and resources, supporting and collaborating with locally sponsored training programs and conducting teacher trainings. 

Literacy Summit

The LEAP team hosts the Global Literacy Summit, in Accra, Ghana for more than 300 teachers and administrators. This is an international conference aimed at providing literacy professional development for Ghanaian teachers, and discussing global needs and strategies for educational success in communities worldwide. Nikki Giovanni is the Keynote Speaker for the Summit.
