Our Work
The world’s current youth population is the largest it has ever been, with nearly 50 percent of the world under the age of 25. Particularly in developing nations, many of today’s youth live in extreme poverty and lack employment opportunities. Without the benefit of a proper education, many of these youth will continue the cycle of poverty and most of an entire generation will be ill equipped to compete in global technological market.
We believe that literacy is the cornerstone to all learning. Increasing literacy rates assists in overcoming economic, social and health barriers that prevent youth from fulfilling their potential. We work toward improving literacy standards in developing communities by providing:
- Books
- Literacy tools and resources for students
- Teacher trainings and teaching tools
- Technology and alternatives approaches to learnings
- Scholarships for secondary school education
- Incorporating leadership development and girls empowerment programming
